News & Events for Aug 6-12
Engineering Night Volunteers:
Wednesday, Aug 9th, is our “Engineering Night” camp. We need adults to run a simple, fun engineering center. If you could help out, see Ryan Ransom in the resource room (library) after the service.
Mary Sullivan is working more Sundays and has to step down as coordinator. If you would be willing to take over this ministry, please contact the office.
There are many different ways to help. Something for everyone! If you have questions or are wondering if this is a good fit for you, talk to Shannon or Gina Sharpe. If you’re planning to help, please sign up on the bulletin board! Watch for more info on training dates (in early Sep).
RCC Open House:
We need volunteers to help out with the carnival game booths. Please sign up for 30 min slots to help operate these games. Sign up at the table in the narthex.
Come build cool projects and learn about how to build a relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.
Ladies, you are invited to a bridal shower for Samantha Dorcey, fiance of Jake Ritter. Join us Friday, Aug 11th, at 6 PM to encourage this young woman as she prepares to begin married life!
Mark your calendars for the women’s retreat at Grace Adventures. Sep 29-Oct 1. Registration details will come at a later date. Talk to Gina Sharpe if you have any questions!
Attendance cards and mailboxes:
Attendance cards and mailboxes have been redone. If you’ve been here a while, you probably have a mailbox. Mailboxes are in the Fellowship Hall. If you don’t have a mailbox and/or attendance cards, please let us know and we will make them for you.
There is a list of church projects on the bulletin board in the narthex. If you can complete any of these projects or if you know of other things that need doing, please contact Ryan Ransom
The elders are pleased to announce that Jeff Bays has been in the process of becoming an elder at RCC. Our bylaws state that before he is installed a candidate for elder must be presented to the membership so that any concern over his qualifications can be made known to the current elders. We anticipate installing Jeff in the position of elder sometime in September. Please prayerfully read 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and our bylaws (Article 4, Section 1) and contact a current elder with any feedback.
