Awana Helpers:

We are having an AWANA training night THIS Thursday, August 18th at 7pm. Our guest speakers will be talking about “Memorization techniques and tricks,” “What if the child I’m helping is not able to read,” and many more topics. There will be a discussion time as well. Whether you’re already involved or just thinking about helping, this will be a great night to better prepare us for the upcoming year! Attending is not a commitment to help with AWANA this year, but please consider doing so. We need more help! Talk to Shannon or Gina Sharpe if you need more information!


We have another opportunity for bonding and spiritual growth. The SALT women’s conference is Saturday, Nov 5th from 8 am to 3 pm in Grand Haven. The speaker, Jodi Ware, will be talking about “Cultivating CONTENTMENT that Glorifies God!” It’s only $25 and includes breakfast and lunch. Talk to Gina Sharpe if you’re interested in attending!

Men’s Conference:

Living a Grace-Paced Life in a Burnout Culture, Sep 9-10 at RCC with Dr. David Murray. Registration is $15 at

Kitchen Remodel:

Kitchen Renovations have begun. We have just over $3,000 available to get the expansion started. We need approximately $7,000 in additional funds to complete the expansion. The “Kitchen Fund” will remain open if anyone is interested in contributing toward the project.

RCC Open House:

Promotion Sunday/RCC Open House is Sunday, Aug 28th. Be thinking ahead to the potluck (hot and cold dish to pass and your own table service) and be praying about opportunities to invite, meet, and get to know visitors.


Youth trip to Cedar Point. Cost $55 ($20 deposit due by August 18th) Dates are September 16-18. Talk to Joe Schmidt.

NECS Benefit Concert:

New Era Christian School is holding a benefit concert featuring Andrew Peterson. Aug 23rd, at The Barn at Town Corners. See the poster on the bulletin board for information and how to buy tickets.

T-Shirt Craft Day Camp:

Wednesday, August 17, from 5:00 - 9:00 pm for kids entering 2nd-8th grades. Dinner included. Moms are welcome to join us for the evening! We will turn useless, old t-shirts into beautiful scarves, headbands, and bags, just like God takes our lives and turns us into beautiful masterpieces.

Baptism Service:

Don’t forget the Baptism Service on August 21st. 6 PM at the Stony Lake Oval.
