News & Events for Dec 11-17

Awana Helpers Needed:

There is still a HUGE need for volunteers to help with Awana! Talk to Gina Sharpe.

New Faces:

And not-so-new faces! Please review the insert regarding mailboxes and the one regarding offering envelopes. You don’t have to be a member to have a mailbox, we just want to make sure you’re connected! And you don’t have to have offering envelopes, we just know that some of you prefer them.

Deacon Mailbox:

We will add a mailbox for the deacons in the bottom left corner of the mailboxes. This is a place for you to note any church needs that you notice or are aware of.

Please get us your winter address and the dates you will leave and return! Also, let us know if you would like bulletins and/or sermon CDs while you are gone.

Adoption Ministry:

There is a generous matching grant for the adoption ministry! For the month of December, any money designated to the adoption ministry will be doubled up to $10,000. This money will be used to promote adoption and to help families make adoption more affordable. Please earmark funds ‘adoption ministry’.

Brazil Mission Trip Dates:

A missions trip to Brazil is being planned for 2017. There are two possible dates. If you have any interest in participating, please tell us which dates would work best by signing the survey on the ministry opportunity bulletin board. This is NOT asking for a commitment at this time.

Welcome, New Members!

Please help us welcome the following new members to the RCC family.
Chelsey Correll, Gary Howell, Chuck Nichols, Barb Nichols, Tina Tanner, Emily Kroll and Stuart Hepworth.

Food Pantry Focus:

The food pantry needs canned corn and soups! If you are able to donate, please put your donations in the blue “food pantry” totes.

Closing information:

We put closings on the website, our Facebook page, on WZZM13 and FOX17. If you have text messaging, you can go to and
register for text alerts to be notified whenever we post a closing.
