News & Events for Nov 8-14

Community Thanksgiving Dinner:

On Thanksgiving Day, from 12:30-2:30, we serve a free meal to all who wish to come. We need YOUR help to do this! Watch the kitchen bulletin board for sign up sheets to bring food for the meal. We also need helping hands to prepare, serve, and/or clean up. And, as always, you are invited to join us for dinner!

2015-16 Faith Promise:

We are currently at $55,554 for Faith Promise for 2015-16. If you haven’t turned in your card yet, please put the lower part in the box at the back of the sanctuary.

Are you preparing to fly south? Please be sure to get your winter address to the office. Include the dates you will be gone and if you would like us to send you bulletins and/or CDs of the messages!

Magnify Conference:

A two-day conference (Fri-Sat, Nov 20-21) at University Reformed Church in East Lansing.

AED/CPR Training:

Learn how you can help save lives with AED (defibrillator) and CPR training. Sign up on the bulletin board. The class is Tuesday, Nov 10th, at 7 PM.

Mailboxes and Attendance Cards:

These have been redone. If you’ve been attending for a while, you probably have a mailbox. Not sure if you have a mailbox, please check. If we’ve missed you or any members of your family (for attendance cards), please let up know!

It’s time for another Picture Directory!

In the next couple of weeks, we will put a note in your mailbox that shows
what your directory entry looks like. Review it, update any incorrect info and,
if needed, submit a new photo to the office. We cannot use a professional
picture without written permission from the photographer and we prefer an
image file (jpg) rather than a printed photo.

Food Pantry Focus:

The Food Pantry needs SOUP! If you can help, please place soup in the blue donation totes. Thanks!

Attendance Cards:

Let us know that you’re here! Please put your attendance cards in the basket by the mailboxes. Or fill out the visitor tab and put it in the offering plate.

Sunday School Schedule:

During the month of November, all children grades K-5 will meet in the Youth Room to practice for the Christmas program.

Forever Young:

Are you over the age of 55? If so, please join us THIS Thursday, November 12th, at noon for a meal, followed by a program. There is no charge; a freewill offering will be taken. Sign up on the Senior Moments bulletin board (across from the kitchen). Under age 55? Come midmorning to help with the prep, serving and/or cleanup!
