What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are a small group ministry where we seek to connect people to the body of Christ for the purpose of developing committed followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to provide a context for true biblical fellowship to take place among the people of RCC.

What do Life Groups do?

While each group is different, all Life Groups meet at least once a month during September through May. During their meetings there is purposeful fellowship, prayer, and teaching. And, outside of their regular meetings, a Life Group also serves together at least once in some capacity during the year.

What is expected of Life Group members?

Life Group members are asked to be faithful in their preparation for group meetings, usually by studying material ahead of time. They are asked to be faithfully present and to participate in their group meetings. And they are expected to be faithful in prayer for their fellow group members.

Why should I consider joining a Life Group?

In Ephesians 4 Paul urges his readers “to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called” (4:1), and then explains that that calling is lived out in community with other Christians. Life Groups are intended to provide a way for the body of Christ at RCC to “grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” (4:15). In short, you should join a Life Group so that you and your spiritual family can mature in the faith, all for the good of our church and most importantly for the glory of God!
